Going CRAZY!!

Hello, world.

I can not stop seeing Italians wherever I go!  I see them in my classes, between buildings, in the library, in the Wilk, EVERYWHERE!   I have NO idea how I am supposed to survive two years of America before I go to Italy.  This is inconceivable.  And yet it is conceivable in that I have no money.  Bah.

My grandpa says that it's good to dream but that you have to be careful to separate them into realistic dreams and "kook" dreams.  Surprisingly (or maybe not), he says going to Italy for a man is a "kook" dream.  To which I say, "Dang it."

"Nobody with a dream should come to Italy. No
matter how dead and buried the dream is thought to be, in Italy it will rise and walk again."
(Elizabeth Spencer, The Light in the Piazza, 1960)
