Day One....
Today was the official first day of the Peatross Body for Life Challenge, and may I say that it was a spectacular good day! Although I did not wake up when I was supposed to, and I did not go running like I planned to, I did eat well, was overly happy, and got a one hour dance workout in. And my first day of weight management class started today giving me a much needed boost in this competition. I'm actually quite nervous for this class, it's a lot more than I bargained for. I was expecting that we'd go and workout, doing various sports and exercises, kind of like a P.E. class. But no!!! We have homework! We are supposed to run on average 10 miles a week and for three consecutive weeks eat at least 5 fruits and veggies (total, not each). That's what I'm most concerned about, I don't know if I will be able to stomache that much, which I know sounds horrible but is true, considering my pickiness on flavor and texture. But the worst thing about this class is that we are going to be weighed and find our b.m.i. using the skinfold method! Nightmare! Oh, well, hopefully I'll never see these people again.....
Anywhos, on to what I ate today!
-1 cup of grapenuts with enough milk to just barely cover it
-1/2 cup of yogurt
-1 green apple
-pepperjack and salami cheese sandwhich on 2 slices of wheat bread
- 3/4 cup of greenbeans cooked in salt and pepper and 1 tbsp of butter
This was split up into 4 meals, I would have had 2 more for the suggested "6 small meals a day" dealio, but I woke up late and lost track of time before work. But I was not hungry for most of the day, I did become hungry around 11:30 though so hopefully I'll last till morning...... Probably not, but I won't eat until breakfast even if it keeps me up! Just more time for homework :)
Oh!! And I didn't have any sweets! This is a huge accomplishment considering that my boss brings treats every night, but I prevailed!
So, there you go, as the Greeks would say, my first day, and it went rather well. And tomorrow will go even better. Or else....
P.S. Sorry there are no pictures, my camera's batteries are slowly dying and I need to buy more. And in addition, blogger hates me and I can never figure out how to put them in the order I want.
P.P.S. And sorry if there are a lot of grammatical errors and passages that don't make sense, I'm too tired and hungry (the hunger is my fault, not the challenge's) to proof read. Salut!
