Venting.....Maybe

My apologies, but I am taking this post as the opportunity to vent, I am not quite sure how this is going to go down, it might be amusing or it might be horrible but you are welcome to read. Just be forewarned (is it just me or is that word redundant?), that this will probably be a very negative blog so proceed at your own risk...... actually, scratch that. I was very agitated and then I waited too long before starting this post and now I don't feel angry and actually can't really remember what had me so upset. Therefore, I will now just do a quick update on what I am doing.

I'm eating about 1600ish calories a day which is what my class says to do for weight loss combined with exercising. I'm still working on the exercise part, I hate running but got to get over that or I will go NOWHERE (haha, punny). Any suggestions?

The biggest thing I have learned about eating is that one should eat until they are satisfied, not full or stuffed and even though 1600 calories doesn't sound like a lot it does the job.

The hardest thing is going to work and turning down the sweets every day, especially since all the guys harass me and try to make me eat and make me feel stupid when I don't. It's so aggravating! But whatever, I won't see them until the fall and then we'll see who's laughing!

P.S. Just for some feedback, what do you guys like to read about? Do you want me to list what I'm eating/doing? Or could you not care less? Any exciting topics you want me to branch out into? Such as what I learned in my weight management class, new exercises, etc. I feel that my posts are a little dry but I don't know what to write so I'll let you pick if you so desire. Night!

P.P.S. I'm also working on the picture situation, that might help with the overall boringness!

  2. I'm with Ellie. I love reading your blog and I love new information for fitness and weight loss so let us know what you learn from your class, please!

For the running: the first 2-3 weeks will be the hardest: you have to tell yourself: "it's just 30 min" and remember how good it feels to be done. I always have music and gum while running...it helps set my heart beat; comfortable shoes are a must, and you need to find a running route that you enjoy, not too close to busy streets. You could run up 700 N all the way up, toward the mountains, and go toward 7 Peaks...

I'm going to run the Provo City half-marathon on May 1st...is that something that interests you? Races are a huge motivation for me to be consistent.

Finally...really? I cannot believe how immature those guys at work are being...way to be strong and stand by your standards! Just ignore them and they will soon find it old. Good luck!
