Tired
It is Day 2 of the Peatross Body for Life Challenge and I am exhausted which is, quite honestly, pathetic. I'd attribute it to my retarded sleep schedule and work but I don't know....
The day started off pretty fantastically though. My wonderful roommate woke me up at 8:15 because I will not wake up on my own until I want to (a habit I seriously need to change) and because I am a pretty obedient person (most of the time), I got up and ran 2 miles. It was fantastic! Especially since I was dreading it since the night before due to the fact that I haven't ran since Thanksgiving Break (which I find ironic since I should have been eating the entire time, not taking time off to run). I really enjoyed my run around Provo, it was the perfect temperature and I felt fantastic, I only walked 2 blocks, which I shouldn't have, it was all in my head. I was honestly shocked at how good I felt and that I could keep up my pace and everything. It took me about 25ish minutes, I wasn't really keeping track, so I'm thinking it was less (more like hoping but we'll see how fast I am tomorrow).
When I came home I did a really stretch dancer's stretch and 120 crunch variations, 20 girl pushups, 45 sec plank, 45 sec wall sit, 20 squats and 20 more with leg raises. I feel pretty dang fantastic and only a little sore, so I will probably amp it up a little more tomorrow. I wanted to take this week a little slower just because I am so out of shape but if tomorrow feels as good as today I will definitely be increasing the intensity a heck of a lot more! I am out to win it, baby!
I did about the same on the food as yesterday which reminds me of my parents and the monotony of the meals, especially my dad's lunches. But hey, whatever works!
-1 cup grapenuts with milk
-2 eggs cooked in tsp of butter
-3/4 cup yogurt
-1 orange
-pepperjack and salami sandwitch
-corn and greenbeans with tbsp butter, salt and pepper
-pb&j sandwitch
Unfortionately, the pb&j sandwitch shouldn't be there. I get home from work at 11:40 and am really hungry now that I'm doing the small meal dealios and trying not to eat crap and all. So I now don't the dessert that my boss brings everyday or the institute food and I was starving when I got home. So I made myself a sandwitch and feel better but guilty because I really shouldn't be eating this late. Any advice on how to not be hungry when I get home?

ReplyDeleteYour doin' great!!
good idea! haha I don't know why I didn't think of that! Is that enought to eat or should I take a piece of fruit too?
ReplyDeleteYeah...take an apple or some grapes with you...dried fruit is a good snack and fills you up good. You could mix them up with nuts (almonds or whatever you like). Also ALWAYS carry a water bottle with you...sometimes I feel hungry but after drinking a glass of water, I realize that I was just dehydrated. Keep up the good work.
